The idea of creating pastry baskets was originated by Delphine Kryza. She sent a sympathy basket with breads and pastries to a friend and realized that this was something that people really appreciated. The friend was so pleased, she told two friends, and soon, enough word-of-mouth orders were placed, she started an actual business! Joined by her cousin Rose Fabian, the two worked out of Delphine's home for 1-1/2 years, and then moved into their store on Five Mile Road, in Redford, Michigan.
 

A master baker in a special old world bakery creates the European recipes. The breads and baked good are baked the same day the basket is filled so it can be delivered bakery fresh. The baskets are lined with hand sewn linen napkins, accented by matching hand made bows, and wrapped in high quality cellophane that is as crystal clear as a bakery window.
